Using the tools

You may use the characters and codes in your personal, educational, and commercial writing or software projects. You do not need an account. You remain responsible for the text you create and where you use it.

Do not use the site to disrupt its operation, attempt unauthorized access, distribute harmful software, or interfere with other visitors. Use the service in accordance with laws that apply to you.

Characters, codes, and accuracy

Character appearance and keyboard shortcuts can vary between devices, fonts, applications, and operating systems. ALT codes may require a compatible Windows application and numeric keypad. Check the result in your destination app before relying on it.

The guides are general reference material. We aim to make them useful, but do not guarantee that every entry is complete, error-free, or suitable for every language or device. Please report mistakes so they can be reviewed.

Your writing and site content

Using the editor does not transfer ownership of your writing to Accent Letters. Copy any text you want to keep before leaving or refreshing the page.

Permission to use individual characters and code examples does not grant a license to republish the entire website, its original articles, or its branding. Third-party material remains subject to its own license terms.

Availability and limitations

The site and its tools are provided as available. Features may change, and access may be interrupted for maintenance or other reasons. The editor is not a backup or document storage service.
